TRADESMEN’S RACES'/ - QUEEN’S BIRTHDAYS
It is stated by the ‘ Marlborough Express * that Guy Fawkes has passed into the hands of Mr Henry Redwood, but this is scarcely correct. Mr Redwood has rented this horse, and Hercules also, for twelve months, for racing purposes. _ [By Telegraph.]
. Christchdbch, May 10. TheKowaiPass races on Friday were very poor. The Maiden Plate was easily won by Mr Redwood’s colt Chief, 2 yrs, by Towton.
