We have to acknowledge, the receipt of a paper on “ The Permanent Unity of the Kmpire,” read at the, meeting of the Royal Colonial Institute in London, on the 19th of January last by its author, Mr F. P. Labilliere. V/e understand that at a competition held in the vestry of Knox Church, a scholarship of the annual value of .‘25, tenable for three years, was awarded to Mr Cameron, of Port Chalmers, by the Scholarship Committee of the Presbyterian Church.
