Drunkenness. —Joseph Miller was charged with drunkenness. He had been in company with a female, a late arrival by the William Davie, and _ when taken into custody he had Ll3 in his pocket. He was fined ss-, with the alternative of twenty-four hours’ imprisonment.—William Gorring and Thomas Stroud Were each fined 10s, or forty-eight hours’ imprisonment, with hard labor, for similar offences. Ship Desertion. —Nelson Savage, a Kanaka, charged with deserting from the barque Splendid on the 26tb inst., was ordered to be imprisoned, with hard labor, for four weeks, the captain to have liberty to take him on board should the ship be ready for sea before that time.
