CRIMINAL SESSIONS. Thursday, April 22. (Before his Honor Chief Justice Prondergast) STEALING FROM A DWELLING-HOUSE. . Ah Toi was indicted for having stolen from the house of Ching Chee at Caversham, on January 4, a silver watch of the vnlue of L 8 10s, the property of Ching Chee. Prisoner pleaded not guilty, and was defended by Mr Barton, with him Mr F. R, Chapman. Mr Blewitt acted as interpreter. The case was fully reported at the hearing in the Magistrate’s Court, the only additional evidence to be adduced being that of Johnson, who, while passing Ching Chee’s house on January 4, saw prisoner break a window in it and put his hand through.
