THE GOVERNOR IN CANTERBURY.

Christchurch, April 21. The Governor and suite landed at Lyttelton at three o’clock this afternoon. The Artillery fired a salute, the school children sang the National Anthem, and the Mayor presented an address. The vice-regal party came through to Christchurch by special train, and at the terminus were received by a guard of honor, &o. They were at once driven to the Clarendon Hotel. The horses in the carriage bolted once, but after going a quarter of a mile were pulled up-
