WESTPORT RACES. [By Telegraph.] Westport, April 8. The annual race meeting, held by the Westport Jockey Club yesterday, was fairly successful. There were 500 persons present. Trial Stakes -Handicap, 15 so vs. One mils and a-nalf. Magenta 1 Sandy ... 2 Lilly ... 3 Bdllkr Handicap, 70 sovs. Two miles and a distance. Tommy Dodd ... 1 Tatterina 2 Magenta 3 There were sir starters. THE TOKOMAIRIRO MEETING. The Consolation Handicap, For the running of which there was not time on the second day of the Tpkomairiro races, came off yesterday. There were four entries, and the result was. Right Bower 1, Kathleen 2. Virago and Unknown also ran. A Tradesmen’s Handicap, which was got up, was won by Unknown, btackpole, the horse injured at the races on Wednesday, was shot last night, his injures being irretrievable.
