CIVIL OASES. Blackadder v. M‘Nah and another.—Claim U49 4s, for machinery supplied. Mr W. D. Stewart appeared for plaintiff; Mr Stout for defendants, who paid into Court L 32 16s, and pleaded not indebted as to the balance of Ll6 Bs.—After considerable legal argument judgment was reserved. Judgment was given for plaintiffs by default m the following cases Smith and Marshall v. D. Hutchison, claim L 3 3s 6d, for goods supplied; Sheedy v. J. Mills, L 3 2s, for rent, and to recover possession of certain premises: Robinson and Co. v. Hugh Sinnamon, LB2 6s lOd, for goods supplied and dishonored cheque; Herbert, Haynes, and Co. v. Alex. Muir, of Christchurch, L 8 5s Bd, for goods supplied ; J. Watson v. Dngald Patterson, L2Bs 9d, balance of account for :groceries supplied; Gibbs and Clayton v. Samuel Daniels, L3l, for goods supplied ; George Baker v. Bird, Blow, and King, circus proprietors, L 6 10s, balance of account for wages due as musician. : [Left sitting.]
