Brace while on her passage down to Port Chalmers from Dunedin yesterday, unfortunately ran on the bank below the islands. Her departure was thus postponed until this morning, when she left for Lyttelton direct. K Theflue clipper ship Nelson, with a full cargo of 5,203 boles of wool, 100 tons of wheat, 100 tons of p6lts 9 and 30 tons of tallow, besides a full complelaent of passengers for London, was towed to sea afternoon by tbe tug Geelong. She is in splendid* - trim and is confidently expected to make a smart run Home. The barque Mary Blair arrived in port on fhursony afternoon with a cargo of sugar from Melbourne, part of which is for this port the remainder being for Auckland. The Mary ‘ Blair is a handsome clipper barque of 328 tons, and was bnilt expressly .iv Clmia tewi o by Messrs W. Duthie and Son, ofAberdeen, in 1870, and is owned by Mr John Fraseiv of Sydney. Her dimensions are os follows : breadth of beam 27ft, with a depth of nolo. ofl4ft 6xn. After discharging her cargo for this port, she will jroceed to Auckland with tie remainder, and thence to China for a shipment of the new season tea.
