CITY POLICE COURT.
Thursday, March 26. (Before Messrs A. Mercer aud J. Logan. J.P.’s) Dhdnrennbss. —Frederick Roden and George Child, for this offence, were each fined ss, with the alternative of twenty-four hours’ imprisonment. Obscene Language.— David Kennedy, for making use of obscene language in High street, was fined 40s, or, in "default, fourteen days’ imprisonment. Fighting on the Racecourse.— Frederick Tutter, Matthew Marsey, and John Sullivan, charged with conducting themselves in a manner calculated to provoke a breach of the peace at Forbury Park, on the 24th inst., were each fined 40s, or, in default, seven days’ imprisonment. Theft. —James Scott, alias Archer, was charged with stealing seven bens, of the value of 18s, from the premises of Jane Collins, Green Island. The charge was fully proved, and prisoner sentenced to twenty-one days’ imprisonment, with hard labor. Assault. —Richard Joseph O’Grady, on two charges of assaulting Francis Driscoll, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, and for conducting himself in a riotous manner at the race-course yesterday, he was further fined L 6, or, in default, two months’ imprisonment.
