At the inquest on the man Fox, killed in the Queen of Beauty mine, the jury returned a verdict that Fox lost his life by an accident caused by the neglect of those whose duty it was to see that the work was carried on with safety to |the men employed. It was also the opinion of the jury that had sufficient supervision been| exercised the accident would not have happened. It came out in evidence that 100 feet of driving and thirty feet of stoping had been done without any timber. Wanganui, March 17. The lease of the wharves and bridges was sold by tender yesterday.
