PUBLIC Notice is Hereby Given, that the Assessnient of all Buildings, Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments within the City of Dunedin, as authorised hy “ The Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865/’ and “ The Otago Municipal Cor* porations Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, 1872,** for the year ending December 31st, 1875, according to the full, fair, and estimated n.nmm.l rent at which the same might reasonably he expected to let from year to year, free of nil usual tenants* rates and ta™?, and deducting therefrom the probable average annual cost of repairs, insurance, and other expenses (if any) necessary to maintain the same in a state to command such rent, has been duly made. Notice is further given, that the said Assessment having, on the third day of March, 1875, been allowed hy the A Couucil of the said City, is now deposited and may he daily inspected, at the Town Clerk’s office, in Manse street, in the said City, between the hours of 10 a,m, and 4 p.m., hy any person interested therein. And notice is further given, that any Appeals against the said Assessment may be lodged at the City Council Chambers, Manse street,( where blank forms may ho had), on or before the 22nd March instant; also, that a copy of each notice of Appeal is required hy law to lie served not later thnn the 22nd instant, upon any person whose name it may lie proposed to insert in the Assessment, whose property, it may he alleged, has been omitted therefrom, or assessed below its full, fair, and annual value. A copy of each notice.of Appeal is also required to he delivered by the appellant to the Clerk of the District Court, at his office, Water street, Dunedin, on or before the 22hd March instant aforesaid. TENDERS will be received at the Town Clerk’s Office, Manse street, on or h< fore Friday, 12th March, 1875, at 4 p.m., for ‘.he whole or any portion of (L 25,000) Twenty-five Thousand Pounds, value of Dunedin Municipal Bonds. The Bonds arc issuable under the authority and provisions of the Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865 ; bear interest at the rate of six per cent, per annum, payable half-yearly; and are secured on the City rates. The Bonds are for LIOO each, and will be redeemable in the year 1905. At the option of any purchaser, the Council undertakes to pay principal and interest in either London, Melbourne, Sydney, or Dunedin. Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Municipal Bonds.” J. M.
