The following is the present state of the betting on the Dunedin Cup ;
THE O AMARU RACES. The first day’s races were well attended, and from the ‘ Daily Times ’ telegrams we learn that the Hurdle Race, of 50 so vs., was a walkover for MrJM‘Kay’s l lanjo; the Maiden Plate, of 40 sovs., miles, fell to Mr Swanson’s Sir William, Mr Henderson’s Ramble being second; the N.O.T.C. Handicap, ofTOO soys. , 2 miles, was won by Mr Barton’s Exile, with Mr M’Kay’s Unknown second, and Mr Paterson’s Blackbird third; the Members’ Plate, of $0 sovb., 1J miles, by M‘Kay’s Medora (protested against), with Exile second, and Ivanhoe third; the Batchers’ Race, of 20 sovs., by Air Campbell’s Little Nell, and the Consolation bjt Mr M‘Kay’s Unknown.
