RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Tuesday, March 9. (Before J. Bathgate, Esq., R.M.) CIVIL CASES. M'Laren v. O’Brien, two points had been raised : first, that the informant had no locus standi ; second, that the information disclosed no offence. —His Worship said the former objection had been repelled, but he now ruled that the information should have been laid under section 44 of the regulations. The case would be withdrawn without prejudice. Maloney v. Purvis. —Claim L 35, value of a horse, Mr E. Cook for plaintiff, Mr Stewart for defendant. The case was proceeding when we went to press.
