The amount of revenue received at the Customhouse on goods cleared for consumption this day was L 641 8s 9d. wasfine weather for the Canterbury Ram Show, held at Christchurch yesterday, and the general qualities of the entries were very good, especially in imported sheep, of which there were a good number entered. The business done was very small. Only one or ■wo imported rams were sold, the highest price obtained being 41 guineas. There were no buyers from other Provinces. Mr Skene reports that, although most of the are suitable people, it cannot be expected that such large numbers can be x)laced without some delay.
