The s.s. Wanganui was taken into the Graving Dock this morning, where she will be cleaned and have her bottom re-coated. The ship Margaret Galbraith, having been cleaned and had her bottom re-coated, was taken out of the Graving Dock this morning. The s.s. Lady of the Lake arrived from the Molyneux at midnight on the 23rd, and steamed alongside the ship Mataura to discharge wool. The ship Nelson was removed alongside the new jetty into the berth vacated by the Auckland, where she will finish loading for London. The ship Gareloch was removed from the Quarantine ground this morning by the tug leelong to a more convenient berth, where she will discharge her cargo into lighters. The B.a. Beautiful Star arrived from Lyttelton, via Timaru, at 8.15 this morning, and steamed alongside the ship Nelson to discharge wool. She left Lyttelton at 6.30 p.m. on the 22nd, and Timaru at 5.30 p.m. on the 23rd. Messrs Patrick Henderson and Co.’s fine new ship Auckland, with a full cargo valued at L 103,306, fourteen saloon and thirty second and third class passengers, was towed to sea this afternoon by the tug Geelong. SHIPPING TELEGRAM, i February 23.-The Alhambra left Melbourne on the I7th, and had fine weather throughout. Passengers for Dunedin ; Messrs Brown, Read, Cowan, Asher, Phillips and child, aud twenty in the steerage.
