PUBLIC NOTICE AS TO THE CORPORATION DUST CARTS, WHEREAS many complaints liave recently been made to the effect that the ilust boxes are allowed to remain .on the kerb stones and footpaths of the City, to the obstruction ol traffic and to the annoyance of the public Notice is Hereby Given that the Conncil of ihy City uirejta that all dust boxes arc only to bo placed on tlie kerb stones upon the approach «t the dust cart. All persons allowing their boxes to remain upon tlie public streets, either prior to their being emptied or subsequently, will be pro needed against for an infringement of the byelaw which prohibits obstructions in the streets. The present arrangement is that the carts start from Princes street south and from George street, at the White Hone Hotel, simultaneously, daily, at 8 a.m.. and proceed thence towams tlie centre of the City. 1 lie streets traversed daily by the contractor’s carts are as under Princes street, from Anderson's Bay Road to Octagon. George street, from Octagon to Frederick street. Great King street, the whole length. Bond street, the whole length.
