Christchurch, February 10. iNo fresh cases of sickness have appeared amongst the immigrants by the Raiknia since the ship arrived in port, and those under medical treatment are progressing favorably. Th e whole of the immigrants have now been lapde i the married people and single girls at Ripa Island and the single men at Quail Island, ime saloon passengers still remain on board ihe process of fumigating the ship was commenced yesterday morning, and the luggage, -after being fumigated will be landed to-day at Ripa and Quail Islands. The promoters of the Female Refuge have purchased two acres of land as a site for its buildings. The inmates are to be divided into two classes- one for women who have been in g«ol, the other for those who have not.
