To the Editor. Sir, —A great inconvenience and public want is felt by the removal of the water-troughs from Rattray street, moie especially by those having teams of horses occupied in the removal of goods and merchandise from the railway station and wharf. Surely at this warm season of the year, when poor animals working hard require at intervals the only beverage they seek for, something ought to be done by the authorities to place a water trough in some convenient position for their, use. The Corporation have been applied to by letter, but, so far, no response has been elicited to so urgent a necessity.—l am, &c,, A Sufferer in care of Hippos. Dunedin, February 8,
