From New South Wales: men, 8 ; women, 9 ; male children, 2 ; female, 2—total, 10 males, 11 females. From Victoria: Men, 43; women, 19; male children, 9; female, 9—total, 52 males, 27 females. From Tasmania: Men, 12; women, 8; male children, 3; female, 2—total, 15 males, 10 females —malting a grand total of immigrants of both sexes, 1,061. Against this, the number of emigrants are as follow : —For Great Britain : Men, 7 ; women, 4; male children, 4 ; female, I—total, 11 males, 5 females. For New South Wales : Men, 12 ; women, Victoria : * Men, 29; women, 13; male children. 2; females, 4 —total, 31 males, 17. females. THE GRAIN MARKET. Messrs Brown and Co.’s report for the week ending Feb. s:—As usual at this season very little is doing. However, a few samples of milling wheat are coming forward, which is Worth 5a to 5s 4d. Fowls’ feed wanted at from 3s 9d to 4s 3d. Oats are offered more freely; feed we quote at 4s to 4s 2d ; any transactions only for immediate requirements, milling for the present being quite neglected. Barley and malting, bs to 5s 3d ; feed, owing to the decline in oats, not so much inquired for, at 4s to 4b 3d. Flour, Ll3 to Ll3 10s, Pollard, Lfi 1(k Bran, Lslos. Maclean Brothers report for the week endin'* February 4, as follows ; ° Fat Cattle.—The market was fairly supplied on Wednesday last. About 120 • head were yarded, and were all taken by the trade, at from L 9 to Lll for bullocks, and from L 6 10s to L 8 for cows. Our sales consisted of 20 head on account of vendors at quotations W e quote prime quality beef Ll 5s to LI 7s 6d per 1001b; medium and inferior, Ll to Ll 2s 6d. Fat Sheep,—The large supply of about 1,250 of all sorts were penned, which was in excess of trade requirements; consequently 350 head had to be held over till next week Those sold realised for cross-bred 14s to 17s each ; merinos 8s to 10s.
