Mr Mei cpr reports (retail prices only) for the week ending January 29 .-—Fresh butter in half and one lb prints, is to is 2d per lb; fresh butter, in lumps, Is per lb ; powdered and salt butter, Is Id to Is 2d per lb. The supply uf fresh butter is stilt very plentiful, "and many of the grocers are stilting down large quantities foV the winter stock. Balt butter, in keg, Is to Is Id per lb, but very little demand at present. Cheese cf the best quality, new, Is per lb; side and rolled bacon in good demand at Is Id to Is 2d per lb ; Colonial hjims, Is 4d per lb; English hams, 1s 6d per lb. Eggs are in good demand and scarce at Is 6d per dozen; new fiotatoes, 8s to 10s per cwt.; four-pound oaf, 7d.
