The half-yearly meeting of the Colonial Bank of New Zealand was held this afternoon, when the first report of the directors was submitted, embracing three months’ operations of the Bank from October to December 31,1874. The profit and loss account showed a balance of L1, 4016s 3d, which the directors recommended should be carried forward intact. The balance sheet is as follows Dr.: Capital account paid up to date, L 163,020 10s; notes in circulation, L 5 ,56 0; bills in circulation, L 12,418 4s Id; deliosits, L 52.619 15s 9d; balance of profit and 088 account, L 1,401 5s 3d ; total, L 238.019 15s Id. Cr. : Coin and cash balances, L 110,093 Os 6d j bullion on hand, L 264 Is 6d; landed property, L 3.113 16s 8d; bank furniture and stationery, L 2,158 8s 4d; bills discounted and other debts due to the bank, L 116,161 12s 6d • preliminary expenses, L6.22S 15s 8d; total' L 238.019 15b Id. The report was adopted unanimously, and a vote of thanks to the directors passed.
