Napier, January 25. Writs of ejectment have been served on the owners -of toe Heretaumra Rlock to test the titles. Mr Sheehan for the Natives. The case comes on in June. The Municipal Council’s first meeting will be on Wednesday week. d'enders for filling the inner swamp are called for.
Wanganui, January 25. A man named Igo tried to murder a laborer named Woods by striking him with a tomahawk while reading. He was arrested by a policeman and remanded, Woods not being able to appear at Court. Igo’s wife is said’ to be living with Woods.
