Sir, —If our indefatigable Inspector of Nuisances—who is almost übiquitous, but not quite so—will sniff the air the next time he is at the railway crossing, Stuart street, he will become aware of an odor more pungent than agreeable. If he chooses to run down the scent, he will readily find a spot on the north ea.-t aide of the distillery and foundries which needs his attention Not only is the place in question a nuisance in the immediate neighborhood, but the overflowing filth is being washed by every shower down towards St. Andrew street, and poisons the air as it slides along upon its mission of contamination.
