The statement of the transactions of the Province for the quarter ended December 31 last is published. The expenditure during the December quarter comprised - Loans, L 9,25 6; Superintendent and Executive, L 1,156; Provincial Council, _LI7O; Provincial Secretary and Lands, L 25,682 ; Provincial Treasurer, L8>,917; Secretary for Goldfields, Li,832; miscellapeouG, L 14,071; roads and works, 1i51,550 ? North Otago District Public Works Loan, L 3,631; and railways. L 16.464. The Provincial Treasurer’s estimate of revenue for 1874-5 was L 421,597.
