THE DUNEDIN CHORAL SOCIETY.
To the Editor. Sir, —In my humble opinion this society will never get along under its present constitution. To reach success the society proper must consist of the performing members and none others. It is simply against common sense that a body of amateurs sh u’d he dictated to, ruled, and governed by any hut them elves. In this concern it would appear that a few self-io potiant non-performing personages, do ’bless of musical attainments and taste, t ke the wh le say, management, ;ind control *4 the society—in fact, arrogate to themselves the hj dy and sou* of the society, while in reality they are not the society at all, for the peiforming members are. in this state of affairs it is simply humiliating to >. o upon that platform and pipe or sing at the beck or nod of other people. -1 am. ko. t Self-Government.
