The Liverpool School Board has decided to appoint a “ female inspector of schools,” at a salary o£ LJ.6D a-ye»r, with L 5 allowance for ’bus fores, &c. In a diary kept during his visit to England, the Shah states that the Luke of Edinburgh is a “very good-looking young man, with small beard and blue eyes.” In parentheses he adds that he is very tall —“ Prince Arthur is not so tall, has a thinner face, and is smaller made than his brother.”
