Luna left on Thursday evening, and after landing stores at Tairoa Heads sailed South. She will call at the Nuggets to land stores, and then proceed to the Bluff, and will also examine the coast for the purpose of deciding the removal of the light from Dog Island to Ruapuka, "-he will afterwards visit the Centre Islands to select a sight for a lighthouse on them. Mr Seed, Secretary of Customs; Mr Blackett, Assistant Eugineer-in-Cb!ef ; and Captain Johnson, of the Marine Department, accompanied her. SHIPPING TELEGRAM. Wellington, December 24,—The ship Lang stone, 101 days from London, for this port, was spoken by the Manawatu off Kapiti this morning.
