The ketch Fanny, for Gatlin’s River, put back yesterday. The schooner Dagmar arrived yesterday from Hokitika, which port she left on the 9th inst. It was intended to have loaded the barque Olive Branch at Oamaru, but the idea had to be abandoned because the insurance companies refuse to insure produce while the vessel lay in the roadstead. Messrs Hougton and Co.’s s.s. Wallabi arrived from her southern trip last evening, and passed up to Dunedin, She left B’uff Harbor on Sunday afternoon, and called at Port Molynext and Kaitangata. The Government p.s. Luna arrived alongside the railway pier at 12.45 p.m. to-day. She left Auckland at 11 a.m. on Saturday, and arrived at Wellington at 7.30 p.m. on Sunday; left at 11 a.m. on Tuesday and arrived at Lyttelton at 8 a.m. yesterday; left again for Port Chalmers at 9 p.m., had head winds and thick weather to arrival. We are sorry to say Captain Fairchild was unwell, and the vessel arrived in harbor under the charge of Captain Johnson; hut Captain Fairchild is now a great Heal better and will be able to take command of her again this day. As soon as she hag coaled she leaves for Akama, where she will pick up Mr Seed and Mr Blackett, who proceeded there to inspect the site of a light on Bank’s Peninsula, at Akaroa. The Luna will return to Port on Sunday, and leave about Tuesday for the South. ENGLISH SHIPPING. A splendid ship, of 1,630 tons register, named the Baron Aherdare, which has lately been launched, has been placed on the berth at London for Auckland, and will follow the Inverene. The Baron Aherdare is on her first trip, and from private advices to hand it would appear that she is one of the finest clippers afloat. The barque Anazi was to leave London *n the 20th October last, and was to be followed by the ship India, which was to sail on the 7th of November, with immigrants. SHIPPING TELEGRAM.
