Messrs w. e. hay & co. (late Howell and Hay), in bolding this their Third Annual Art Union in Dunedin, would respectfully request the support of all classes, if only from tde fact that they claim for this distribution of works of art that there is actual bond fide value given in their prizes for the amount set against them. The general satisfaction we have given in previous years is some guarantee that we continue to deserve the support so freely accorded us in these undertakings ; but to all, we say, “ Come and see for yourselves!” J The prizes consist >i richly-framed pictures, after the most eminent anci< nt and modern painters, comprising—Oleographs, chroino-:ithographs, engravings, photographs, autotypes, tinted lithographs, and prints in substantial ornamental, gilt, maple, rosewood, walnut, and other frames. 350 prizes of the value of 1325, in 1,300 tickets at 5s each. The drawing will be conducted on the strict art union principle by a committe of management chosen by. and from, the ticket-holders present at the time of drawing, of which due notice will be given.
