A LITTLE ADVICE TO PARENTS.
To the Editor. Sir,- Kindly permit me through the medium of your valuable columns to present the following to xour readers I have very often come across boys and youths who get no pocket money, and are then by tempted to steal it from their masters, and have very often got into trouble. Let the pa rents of those who get no money to themselves give them at least 5s per week for pocket money, or perhaps they will very soon rue it when they find their sons getting into some trouble by stealing ; as it is very discouraging to them when they see other boys, not half so old as themselves, getting money from their parents to spend. I know one family in the North east Valley who do not get a cent to spend (so they tell me), and this is very hard on them, as they are both earning very good wages. I trust thM; the {rarents of those thus fixed will be a little iberal to their children.—l am, &c., A Suffers-r. Dunedin, December 7.
