TRANSFERS, The police offered no objections to the following transfers, which were granted : James Watson to John Patterson, Royal Rhtel ; Mary Martin to D. Linklater, York Hotel; E, Hudson to If, Falconer, Rainbow' Hotel ; John Somers to J. Colehan, Waitati Hotel ; James Seaton to W. F. Haynes, Portobello Hotel; Daniel Bannatyne to F. Oliver, Sussex Hotel ; Charlotte Hammond to Robert Skitch, Martin’s Hotel; and John Murdoch to A. Watson, Junction Hotel. NIGHT LICENSES. Mr Haggitt gave his opinion on the subject of night licenses, centcnding that there was no necessity for them. There was a long list of applicants, whose names having been read out, the Bench reserved a decision until they had considered Mr Haggitt’s arguments. PLURALITY OF BARS. Geo. Doilsm made application to have a second bar on bis premises, not a public bar licensed. Mr Hagiritt appeared for applicant, who was permitted a license, jub Wain, junr., made a similar application, which the Court granted, BOTTLE LICENSES. All the applications for bottle licenses were refused, except that of Jane Fcrrier, North Dunedin.
