LOSS OF THE UNITED BROTHERS.

To the Editor. Slßj —ln your leading article of yesterday yon stated, on the authority of the ‘North Otago Times,’ that I made use of the fo'low’ing words at the preliminary inquiry; “That if the Court was not satisfied with my testimony, I would go and fetch them a bucketful of her planking as ocular demonstration.” I never used those words at the inquiry. It was on oath, and I have signed it. I cannot be responsible for what other p ople said. I would like my evidence at Oamaru to be published.—l am, &c., Stephen Tall, Dunedin, November 19.
