Walter’s Yatteriua, aged, 9st - . 5 Bed wood’s Batter, i yrs, 7s 1131bs - - 0 Hedge's Exile, aged, 7st 4!bs - . . q Staker’s Marvel, uyrs, 7st Olbs, also ran. Betting even against Yatterina. 3 to 2 against Remnant, 4to 1 others. After several 0 false starts, caused by the fidgetivoness of Yatterina tiie lot got away on bad terms, Alice Grey leading, with Batter second, Yatteiina losing several lengths. Half-way round Remnant commenced to go up ; passed Batter, challenged Alice Gicy for lead, and Yatterina also commenced to go up, but was too far astern to be dangerous. As| lendid race down the straight resulted in Remnant beating Alice Grey°by half a length, Yatterina being a good third, lime, liuiu. 4'JYecs.

Betting even on Wainui; 2to 1 againstSomnumhnla ; 3 and 1 to 1 against the others. A capital start was effected, the Emmeline colt making the. running, with Somnambnla second, tin entering on the second half-mile, R mgi and Tadmor joined the leaders, and all toe lot were in a dump a little further on. Wainui looked like going up, but onlv for a moment. Entering straight, Rang! and Tadmor went in front, the former leading by a trifle. Templeton led out, with Tambourini second, and Iraitor third, the Zigzag colt being outpaced from the first. Rounding the top of tho course Traitor pas-cd Tambourini taking second place. The two leaders wont away from Tambomini, but after going a mile ‘and a half, toe latter wont up again. Rounding the turn ion home lempleton, Traitor, and Tonibuurini were neck and neck.
