The weekly meeting of the Board was held this morning ; present—Messrs Strode (in the chair), Butterworth, C ark, and Reid Mr Connell submitted Messrs Herbert Mackney and Co.’s plan of their sawmill lease application for block 8, Kankleburn, and block 4. Herbert, gave notice that he would apply to have the plan on the margin of the lease of run 212 a. amended, so as to coincide with the east boundary of the run, as originally intended, and asked that a day be fixed for hearing the case in dispute between Mr Herbert and the adjoining runholder, It appeared that’ an incorrect survey had been nvde some eight or nine years ago in consequence of wh’ch one of the parties claitne Isom 3,<)ooi* resoftheneigiib mint; run. The Board decided to re er the question to the Provincial Solicitor the latter to j,ive his opinio > as to whe-her the Board’s powers en»Ved it to deal with it, or if the case must go to the Court.
Mr J Hamilton applied to purchase sectional, block 3, Tiger Hill; Mr R. M Intosh, section I. hj ock 1. Lauder, and seed ,u 2, block 3, Tiger Hill. Th-aso were for land on goldfie’ds, and were adjourned until the proclamation had appeal ed iu the ‘ Gazette.’ MrlVjiVam Waugh ap lied to purchase sectio-’t.Si block 1. Bender (approved). This Was for an agricultural Toehold.

Turner applied ior a lease of the beach frem below Coal Point to the Tokomairiro River, for gold-mining purposes—about eight miles Consideration adjourned for personal app'ication. The following applications, reported on by the Warden, te purchase land on goldfields were dealt with, and declared open for sale by au‘tion :M r Thomas M urray : section 25, block 5, Table Hill, unsorveved ; Mr James Sutherland : section 22, block 6, Table Hill, unsurveyed ; Mr J. G Gray : sections 2 and 4, block 1, Table Hill surveyed; iMr James Keppel: sections 20, 21 and 2?, block 4, Tuapeka West, surveyed ; Mr 8. White : section 41, bloek 18, Tuapeka Fast, unsurveyed ; and Mr H. Boulaton: section 6, bloek 6, Table Hill, unsurveyed. Mr H. Graff asked ad vies as to the formation of a plantation under the Forest Planting icr. A copy of the regulations to be forwarded to applicant. ' ; r I htnphilus Daniel wrote re Mr Albert Cassell’s application fora run on the Waiau Consideration adjourned tid the return from Christchurch of the Chief Commissioner. Mr H eid so id. Mr i; . Duncan, of Hawksbury, asked the Board to reconsider his request to have fifty acres of Hawkshury bush cut up for sale. Referred to the Ranger for report. Mr H. M. Henderson applied to purchase his red deuce area, section 26, block 3, Beau, moat. The improvements to be valued, and the land put up for auction.
