MESSES BUCKLAND AND MAY AT AUCKLAND*
[By Telegraph.] Auckland, October 17. Messrs Buckland and May addressed their constituents at Wauka.
Buckland said the "Premieres policy was had, lyould work miseries unparalleled in the history of the Colony. Mr Vogel had acknowledged baying to pay a, million and a half of money for which: he had got nothing, but that he bad to pay it to carry put bis policy. He sa d the Polynesian Islands scheme must ultimately benefit Auckland greatly, and condemned the State Forests Bill as absurd.
Mr May, in hip address, confined' bjs remarks mainly to the measures of the session. He voted against the abolition of Provinces, because he considered the Bill should also have been applied to the Provinces in the Middle Island. He said Air Vogel had stated that Mr Giliies would oppose anything brought down by him ; but he thought Air Vogel was measuring other people’s corn by his own bushel He next spoke of the Licensing Pill, saying he thought it had been improved on. The speaker, also alluded to the other of the session. A vote of thanks to both candidates was passed. “ ;
