MEMBERS OUT OF PARLIAMENT.

MR M'GILLIVRAY AT RIVERTON.

[BY Telegraph.] {From our own Correspondent.)

October 14. Mr M'Gillivray addressed his constituents here last night. After reviewing several measures brought before the last ses-ion, he expressed himself greatly in favor of the North Island Provinces Abolition Bill; and he considered those Provinces a burden to the General Government. He had always been opposed to Provincialism, and would advocate the abolition of the Middle Island Provinces as well. He was against the system of free immigration, and believed the nomination system and free grant of land desirable, Tmmigran's who paid their own passages would work much better, and this would induce a superior class of people to come, who would be likely to become bond fide settlers. After an able speech, Mr M‘Gillivray received a unanimous vote of confidence.
