MiLßOuhne, October B.—Breadstuffa are firm. Flour has been sold up to Ll3; wheat, os 3d ; oats, good, in request, at os 3d to 5s 4d. Hops still sell freely at full rates—New Zeai’ I 8 .Devoe’s kerosene has been sold at ls 2d. Fine Hennessy’s pale brandy, 9s, Mowing a decline. There is a demand for tinned fish, particularly salmon, and also for dried fruits, currants, and Eleme raisins. London, October 3,—The wool sales have closed. A firm advance has been maintained throughout the seiies. The bulk has been taken by Home buyers, but 120,000 bales were taken for export, including 4,000 for America. The next sales are fixed for November 17th ; Messrs Balme and Co., brokers, report prospects favorable, and estimate the increased import during the year at 100,000 bales. An advance in discount is expected. A fall of full two shillings a Quarter oa English wheat has taken place. Adelaide is quoted at 52s to 54s ; New Zealand 42s to 495; Tasmanian, 48s to 51s. ’
