{From our Exchanges.) Mr Worthington, of Queenstown, has successfully accomplished the task of batching out the trout ova sent by Mr Young, of Palmerston, with comparatively small loss. The young trout about 450—are progressing favorably. The Upper Shotover G. M. Company are getting good gold, of a coarse, nuggety description. The Mayor of Waikouaiti’s annual ball is fixed for the 20th of November, The bridge over the Otepopo river is finished, and will be opened in a few days. As showing that even the Queensland fields cannot eclipse some claims on the renowned Shotover river, the ‘ Observer ’ mentions the case of a party who, in eight weeks, have cleared LI,OOO. “ Hospital Sunday ” is to be inaugurated at Arrowtown shortly.
