Timaru, Akaeoa, Lyttelton, Christchurch, and Westland.—Per Maori, on Tuesday, September 29, at 4.30 p.m. Per s.s. Tararua, on Wednesday, September 30, asunder:—
Direct mails for India, China, Japan, Penang, Singapore, Manilla, Aden, Mauritius, the British, French, and Austrian Post Offices at Alexandria, Malta, Gibraltar, Brindisi, France. &c., at 12 noon.
For New South Wales, South Australia. Western Australia, Queensland, and Tasmania at 1 p.m.
For Southland, Victoria, London via Southampton, and via Brindisi, and for correspondence for the Continent of Europe, &c., sent in London mails, at 1 39 p.m. For issue of money orders and posting of registered letters and newspapers, at 11.30 a.m. Late letters, with one additional single rate por letter, may be posted as follows : For New South Wales, South Australia, ** ©stem Australia, Queensland, and Tasmania, at 1.30 p.m. For Southland, Victoria, London, via Southampton and via Brindisi, and for correspondence for the Continent of Europe, &c., sent in London mails, at 2 p.m.
The public arc reminded that correspondence for America must be prepaid Suez rates, as there will be no mails despatched via San Francisco this month.
Note.— The steamer Victoria is expected to erPu 6 30th. Telegrams for the Australian Colonies ~^ r .°P e i y i a Java cable, will bo received at the Telegraph Office, Dunedin, for transmission IwLi uckland up till 8.30 o'clock a.m. on the 30th.
