VAILS CLOSE. Northern Ports op New Zealand.— Per Phoebe, on Friday, September 25, at 10 a.m. Timaro, Akaeoa, Lyttelton, Christchurch, and Westland.— Per Bruce, on Friday, September 25, at 4,30 p.m. Sam Francisco (for letters specially addressed only).—Per Colusa, on Friday, September 25, at 10 a.m. British and other Mails, via Suez, will be despatched from this office on the 30 th inst. All mails close at Albany street (branch office) fifteen minutes prior to the advertised time of closing at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin. The pubUc are reminded that correspondence for America must be prepaid Suez rates, as there will be no mails despatched via San Francisco this month.
Note.— The steamer Hero is expected to leave Auckland at 11 a.m. on Friday, the 25th instant. Telegrams for the Australian Colonies ot Europe, via Java cable, will be received at the Telegraph Office for transmission to Auck* laud up till 9 o’clock a.m. of the 25th. ARCH.
