Currants are, however, still procurable at 4d. Eleme raisins, s|d, and sultanas, 62d. Kerosene is somewhat easier; sales have been made patent nozzle at Is 9d, to land. News has been brought by the Otago, which may still further effect the market Candles continue to command IOJd. Considerable demand has amen for potatoes, in consequence of large purchases for Canterbury; prices are therefore very firm at L 6 lOd to L 7. Messrs M'Landress, Hepburn, and Co. today offered for sale, on behalf of Messrs ConHell and Moodie, the township of Roseneath, situated in the Sawyer s Bay district.
