Lfi at their Rooms, Manse street, on Saturday, the 19th September, at 2 o’clock pm. This Township is a sub-division of Sections 24 and 26, ‘•awyers’ Bay District. It ies upon a beautiful slope facing Port Chalmers, and lying to the north-east. It is situated upon a Peninsula lying between the railway and the harbor, and the sun shines upon the ground nearly as long as in the most favorably situated portions of Dunedin. The view from the ground is unrivalled, embracing Port Chalmers, the Lower Harbor, and Otago Heads in the distance, and there is a large extent of sea beach suitable for bathers. As sites for gentlemen’s residences, the sections in this township are altogether unequalled by any land hitherto brought into the market The Sawyers’ Bay Station is within a few minutes’ walk of the property. Arrangements have been made with the railway authorities, whereby cheap monthly, quarterly, or annual family tickets can be obtained, and for the carriage of building materials at nominal rates. The Auctioneers have much pleasure in directing the attention of the public to the sale of the above named compact and very valuable freehold property. It is situated four miles from Dunedin, having frontages the Main South Hoad between King’s Mill and Eagerty’s Hotel, and is in the immediate proximity to the Stations of the Southern Trunk and Green Island Branch Railways. For sites for business purposes this township stands unrivalled among the many that have within the past few years been put upon the market. The centre of the rapidly rising district of Green Island, with its extensive agricultural and coal-mining industries—the latter already giving employment to a large population—and destined to become annually of greater importance, and commanding as this township does excellent water privileges on the Kaikorai *- iver, with facilities for transit of raw material, &c., by rail, and with fuel delivered in the township at pit prices, it presents advantages unattainable elsewhere in the neighborhood of Dunedin for the es-tabli-hment of manufactories and other industries requiring steam or water power. _On the other hand, the beautiful and rich sloping grounds on the east side of the main road, sheltered from southerly winds, and getting the full benefit of the sun all day, are admirable suited for villa sites, the locality being undoubtedly one of the healthiest in the Province. # Intending purchasers are specially solicited to view the land, and judge for themselves, and not to trust merely to the plan.
