OCEAN BEACH AND PORTOBELLO RAILWAY.
At a meeting of the promoters of the above this afternoon it was resolved to fix the capital at LbO.OOO, with power to increase—in 12,000 shares of L 5 a share. Messrs E, B. Cargill, Christie, R. M. Robertp®’ . f^y nbi T rd > T. , Reynolds, Bacon. Proudfoot, J. Smith, Larnach, Eliott, >eaton. G. Robertson, Taiaora, M.H.R.: M Indoe, Green, Holmes, Tolmie, G. WiUon, and Professors Black and Macgregor were appointed a provisional committee. Mr Proud toot undertook to give gratis that porturn of hie land at Anderson's Bay tea aired, tor the railway. Messrs Smith, K. M. Robertson, and Proudfoot were appointed a deputation to wait upon the Superintendent to ascertain what facilities the Provincial Government were disposed to grant to the undertaking.
