Wanganui, s.s., 179 tons, Fraser, for the Bluff Grace, ketch, 16 tons, Brady, for MoerakL Janet Ramsay, schooner, 36 tons, Blaney, for Gatlin’s River. Lloyd’s Herald, ketch, 48 tons, Halford, for Catliii’s River. Maid of Otago, schooner, 64 tons, Bain, for Moeraki. The ketch Grace sailed last night for Moetaki. ■ The schooner Maid of Otago sailed yesterday (or MoerakL The ship Parsee was removed alongside the railway pier last evening. The 8.8. Lady of the Lake arrived from the Molyneux late last night, and passed up to Dunedin. The p.s. Samson returned from her usual trip to Oamaru last evening, and passed the port to Dunedin. A topsail schooner, supposed to be the Zior, was coming up the harbor from Hokitika when our report left. The ketch Fanny came down from Dunedin and anchored in Carey’s Bay. She will sail this evening for Oatlin’s River. The s s. Jane towed down this morning the brig Pakeha from Dunedin, for Oamaru, and shortly afterwards towed her to sea. The coasters Lloyd’s Herald and Janet Ramsay came down from Dunedin yesterday afternoon, and sailed this morning for Gatlin’s River. , The s.B. Wanganui sailed last evening for the Bluff. Besides a number of cabin passengers, she took immigrants from the ships Parsee and Tweed. The three-masted schooner Melanie, from Wellington, was signalled at the Heads this morning, and there being a light N.E. wind she Ruled up this afternoon. The clipper schooner Lizzie Guy arrived from Hokitika yesterday afternoon, and was taken in tow by the s.s. Jane, passing up to Dunedin. Captain Payne reports leaving Hokitika in company with the schooner Zior, on the 29th August; easterly winds and thick weather Were experienced to Cape Farewell, then fresh westerly and N.W. winds through the Straits to the Eaikonras. She then encountered a heavy S.W. gale, which lasted for forty hours ; then light variable winds to arrival. Reports having been in company with five schooners and the barque Memento in Cooks Straits. The Norwegian barque previously reported at the Heads, was towed up by the tug Geelong yesterday evening, after the latter had towed out the shin Sussex. She proved to be the Hebe, from Frederickstadt, with a mixed cargo of timber, and she is bound to Wellington, having called here for orders, as Captain Bunde expects to discharge part of the cargo at this port. Captain Bunde reports leaving Frederickstadt on the 4th of May; took his departure from the Lizards on the 15th; crossed the equator on the 15th of June, in long. 37.30 W., and the meridian of the Cape of Good Hope on the 15fch July, in lat. 39 ; passed the Island of Amsterdam on the 6th August, moderate weather having been experienced from the Channel to the N.B. trades. Very squally heavy westerly weather prevailed whilst running down her easting, in 39, during which time the barque was hove to five times, the wind being from -W. to S. W. with very heavy sea, several times filling her decks and lifting her deck-load of timber. She passed Stewart’s Island oa the 6th inst., and arrived off Otago Heads on Tuesday evening.
