The barques Columbus, from London, and the Splendid, from New York, commenced to discharged their cargoes into lighters in the •bream. The p.s. Peninsula transhipped a number of the passengers from the ship Tweed this morning. and they were conveyed to Dunedin by the IL3O train. The s.B. Btuce was taken into Murray's floating dock at high water yesterday for the purpose of being cleaned and painted, and havtngber propeller shipped. The topsail schooner Crest of the Wave arrived yesterday afternoon from the Kakanut with ajfull cargo of preserved meats for transhipment. She reports the schooner Friendship lying in AU-day Bay.
