The ordinary monthly meeting of the Education Board too-t place at noon to-day ; present—His Honor the Superintendent, Messrs Reid, Turnbull, and Stout. Several claims for repairs to school buildings were approved.. The applications to raise the status at Hyde, Gumraies’ Bush, Clifton, and Papakaio were deferred. applications in reference to school buildings were referred to the Executive. .Proposed regulations for the examination and classification,of teachers, and for appoint ment, classi fication, and payment of pupil teachers, and a syllabus showing the course of instruction for Provincial schools, with directions and recommr.ndations relating to them, were ordered to be printed and to bo brought up for consideration at an adjourned meeting t<> be held on the 16th. The remaining business was unimportant.
