Napier, August 31. The Opera Treupe are drawing crowded house*. A correspondent writing from Norse wood, Seventy-mile Bush, says that the people are leaving that settlement in large numbers for Wairarapa. Christchurch. August 31. A thunderstorm occurred on Friday night. It was not very heavy in Christchurch, but reports from the northern parts of the Province show that houses and other property were slightly damaged. It is rumored on good authority that the Mayor of Christchurch intends, before the expiration of his term of office (November) to invito the Premier to a banquet.
