The barque Yictorine was removed from the railway pier, and anchored in the stream. The N.Z.S.S. Co.’s Ladybird left the railway pier this afternoon for Northern ports. The ship Cartsburn was removed from the railway pier, and anchored in the stream this morning. The three-masted schooner Elderslie was towed to Dunedin by the tug Geelong to discharge her timber. The schooner Tauranga was towed down from Dunedin, and went alongside the Caroline for transhipments. The schooner Crest of the Wave has removed alongside the railway pier to take on board cargo for Kakanui. The s.s. Lady of the Lake, after taking railway iron from the ship Sussex, sailed last evening for the Molyneux. The brig Pakeha, having discharged part of her cargo, was towed to Dunedin last evening to discharge the remainder. Messrs M‘Meckan, Blackwood’s s.s. Albion, from Melbourne via the Bluff, arrived alongside the, railway pier at 7.30 this morning. Her mails were immediately transhipped and conveyed to Dunedin by the first train. She l®ft Hobson’s Bay at 4 p.m. on the 21st, cleared tne Heads at 6 4>* p.m., passed Swan Island at 3 p.m, the following day, experienced easterly weather throughout the passage until the 23rd, when a heavy gale set in from the N.E., with very confused sea; passed the Solander at 4.30 a.m. on the 26th, and arrived at the Bluff at 10.30 a.m., having made the passage from Port Phillip Heads to the Bluff in 4 days 14 hours j she discharged cargo, mails, and passengers, and left again for Port Chalmers at 6.30 p.m. We thank her purser Mr J, Norris, for report and files. i SHIPPING’ TELEGRAM. t Auckland, August 26.—Luna, for von.
