« Hie amount of revenue received at the Cun tsm-house or. «,oods cleared for consumption this day was L 916 Os 9d. [Bt Telegraph.] London, June 30.—Messrs Charles Balme and Co. report that the short interval which has elapsed since the close of the public sales of wool has been characterised by daily inquiries lor one description or another of our staple, and although the quantity actually sold was unimportant, the feature is interesting, showing a disposition on the part of consumers to make further purchases at rates recently current, as indicating that notwithstanding the unprecedentedly heavy quantities so recently arrived the market is not overstocked with raw material.—The New Zealand hemp market is inanimate, about the only business passing being in the damaged portions of late arrivals, which not being likely to improve in the present condition of the market, holders sell to the best bidder.
