TThe folio wing is an abstract of the returns Showing the passenger and goods traffic to and from Dunedin station on both lines for the month ending July 31, 1874 : Passengers to and from Dunedin, Port Chalmers, Green Island, and Caversham.

Sales of kerosene have taken place at Is sd. London, August 2. —Money tightening: an advance in discount is expected. At the Liverpool wool sales prices have advanced a halfpenny. The arrivals for the next London sales amount to 226,000 bales. Market firm. New Zealand hemp has been sold at Ll7 10s.
